Human resource is an ever-changing field. It has changed in numerous ways in recent years, one of which is due to improved technology. In the next years, technology solutions will likely reduce some of the strain on HR professionals, who have long been overworked and undervalued for their efforts.

Processes will be simplified in the future owing to technology, and firms will have higher employee satisfaction. Three major HR trends that are altering the sector are listed below.

Boost Employee Engagement

Employee satisfaction and retention are directly linked to employee engagement. According to a G2 Crowd poll, 57 percent of HR professionals feel that increasing employee engagement keeps productive staff on board. So, how might technology help motivate employees?

It is advantageous to use software that gathers and records employee feedback. Employees can submit feedback using these programmed without having to go through the HR department. Because the programmed itemize the data obtained, they may give important insight to the leadership team, allowing them to make appropriate changes based on employee input.

Sexual Harassment Education Should Be Reconsidered

Sexual harassment is still a major problem for today’s corporations. Even though 98 percent of firms have rules against sexual harassment, 35 percent of women have reported sexual harassment at work. Typically, sexual harassment training is offered through computer courses or in-person lectures, neither of which has been demonstrated to be effective.

This is something that virtual reality is striving to address. Businesses may better demonstrate why sexual harassment is a major problem by providing immersive training that puts the learner in the victim’s shoes.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is making headway into HRM.

Everything from optimizing operations to managing large amounts of data in the HR department may benefit from AI. As a consequence, the HR department’s productivity can increase.

Machine learning is a significant aspect of this. HR professionals may employ AI technology to enable programmed to recognize trends in data and even make choices based on the information provided, boosting the HR team’s productivity. This also enhances employee happiness by reducing reaction times in the workplace when issues emerge.

So, what’s the gist of it? HR is a place where technology and humans collide to satisfy the needs of today’s workforce and, more significantly, those of the not-too-distant future.
2019 is shaping up to be an intriguing year in HR, with all new technology entering the field.
